New students arrive at St Norbert College

There was a mixture of excitement and nervousness for more than 180 students who arrived at St Norbert College for the first time on January 31.

The 2018 school year commenced with the arrival of 164 Year 7 students, as well as 21 students in Years 8 to 11 who are new to St Norbert’s.

The new Year 7 students come from 44 different primary schools, and take the entire student body to just under 900.

St Norbert College Principal Simon Harvey said it was an exciting day for the new students and one they would remember for a long time.

“This is the start of a six-year journey at St Norbert College, so we want the students to remember this day fondly,” he said.

“It’s a big step for these young students to begin high school, and a major milestone in their lives.”

The school has also welcomed 11 new staff to its ranks in 2018.
