Prémontré Library

In supporting the College Mission to foster “the growth of our students as whole persons” the Prémontré Library provides a wide range of resources that support the teaching and learning programs within the College.

Located in the centre of the College, the library provides a comfortable and vibrant environment that fosters student learning.

It is fully automated and has networked computers that provide students access to online resources.

To provide the best possible curriculum support, staff regularly update fiction, non-fiction, reference, journals and audio-visual collections. The library also subscribes to a number of online databases and software.

The automated library catalogue provides students with quick and accurate access to information available within the library and can be easily accessed from any computer in the College.

Year 7 students undertake a Learning Information Skills program, provided in partnership with the English, Science and Humanities learning areas.

Recreational reading is supported with the WAR program (Winners Are Readers) in Year 7 and the RAAT (Read Around Australia Tour) in Year 8.

To ensure students have the opportunity to utilise print and online information, as well as videos, DVDs and equipment required for their learning programs, the library is open before and after school as well at lunchtimes.
